A meddah (a traditional story teller) tells to Garò Surmelian about life in Shevan, a small Armenian mountain village. Through his words, the public will also know the rites of passage, the games, the parties and the colors of that extraordinary culture. But also the anxieties and fears, because on the Armenians of that village, as on those of all the other villages or cities, loomed the mad threat of a young Turkish ruling class carrying a nationalist ideology, which will lead to planning and implementation of the most atrocious and terrible of crimes: genocide
