Once upon a time there was a village, near a big lake. Its waters were so crystal-clear that you could see clouds, leaves and stars floating upon it, as well as the white pebbles on its bed. There were nights in which the sky reflected on water, making blue the surrounding houses and their inhabitants. But one day it stopped raining, so the lake dried. The village elder called a boy: “Look at the sky Alizar, our lake is up above now, you must bring it down here”. Before setting off, Alizar went to Mounia, his beloved, and they made a love vow under the Big Tree.
The Breath of the Wind is the story of Alizar who, looking for the rain for his people, little by little lost himself, and of Mounia, who found him again following his breath.
