“I don’t understand why nobody understands me. I assure you, it’s not easy for me to be here at all. You all know the story of Pinocchio very well. So what are you looking for? What you are about to see is a glimpse of life, a small window into the human condition between a father and his son. Let that be enough for you.” (The Talking Cricket)

“Pinocchio in the Belly of the Whale” is rooted in the deep and delicate relationship between a father and his son, opening a small window onto human existence, where fiction and reality merge until they become indistinguishable. In the belly of the great cetacean — a metaphor for the womb — Geppetto and Pinocchio build a unique and unbreakable bond. A bond made of glances, silences, and triumphs, but also moments of hardship and weariness: a shared journey that leads Pinocchio to shed his puppet skin and transform into a human being
