Romeo and Juliet (are dead) brings back the most famous love story of all time, giving the protagonists the floor. In the rereading, Romeo and Juliet are not at all happy with the ending Shakespeare wrote for them and they do not give each other peace. Mercutio suggests that the two lovers retrace the key milestones of their week together: perhaps this way they will find the answers they seek with respect to their own destiny. Mercutio acts as narrator by connecting the scenes in Italian and translates some comments from English to make it easier for viewers to understand.
